Steering, throttle, clutch, brakes, everything will be on/off, with no modulation. It just mimics keyboard buttons, so you get no analogue input. Gamepad Companion doesn't really let you use a controller as a controller.

i just used (A) button for the accelerator and the right analog stick for reverse. although it works good, RT and LT wont work since i think it uses a 1 to 0 to -1 setup so when you are not pressing down on the trigger it is on 1 then when you are half way it is a 0 being off then when you are at -1 it is on again(correct me if im wrong) all i know is that those buttons seem to be always on when you use them in this software.

it is only a trial version but i know that their is a video on youtube that gives you a code, which im not telling you where it is since i dont want to be affiliated(educational purposes only, find it at your own risk). gamepad companion lets you configure it to keys on the keyboard and it situates in the system prefs once downloaded.
